Ms. Gifford joined Faulkner Banfield, P.C. in 1984, after serving as a law clerk to Senior Justice John Dimond and Justice Allen Compton of the Alaska Supreme Court. Her practice focuses on representation of school districts, non-profit organizations and businesses. Ms. Gifford’s clients appreciate her ability to provide quick, practical solutions for their educational and management dilemmas, as well as the writing and editorial skills she employs to help them develop policies and other official communications. Ms. Gifford is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences on education and employment law topics.

Ms. Gifford serves on the Civil Rules Advisory Committee to the Alaska Supreme Court. She is a past President of the Juneau Bar Association and belongs to a number of professional organizations, including the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys and the Labor and Employment section of the American Bar Association. Ms. Gifford enjoys volunteering with a variety of organizations including the Juneau School District and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. She also serves as a fund-raising co-chair for Alaska Legal Services.
